Hey everyone! I’m in Viña del Mar, CHILE! Wow, what a day it has been! The volcano ash shut down the airport in Buenos Aires and our flight plus 4 other AA flights were re-routed into Santiago, Chile. I spent the entire day standing in line waiting for hotel and food vouchers and then boarded a bus to Viña del Mar, about 90 minutes away. But God is good…I ran into people who speak English at just the right times today, which was a huge comfort. And my room at the Sheraton has an ocean view as the sun is beginning to set right now!!!
Wowwww…I have buddied up with a woman doctor from Buenos Aires who was actually in Boston for a conference this past week. I’m well!! We hope that the ash has moved on and flights can continue by tomorrow afternoon! Thank you for all of your prayers!!
Just a little side-trip to CHILE!!!

Praying for you! Thanks for keeping us posted!!
Good evening Michele,
You know how to work it — get stranded in an ocean view hotel!! Glad you are ok, I’m sure it has been a long stressful day, but sounds like God has been watching over you and leading you in the right direction. Hope you are not delayed to long before you make it to Argentina – where you want to be. Keeping you in our prayers
Love ya

What an exciting start to your new adventure. I love how Santiago is surrounded by mountains. the view at the airport is stunning. Enjoy your enforced break and all the best for the nest flight to your new home.
Nothing like a little excitement on your way to Argentina. Kind of like the kind we had trying to get back to the US by way of Lima. If nothing else you’re learning some patience. Enjoy your stay at the Sheraton. My prayers are with you.
Love, Kathy

Yes, thank you all for your prayers…and I was full of calmness and patience today! Perhaps this was just preparing me to be flexible!
But what a glorious end to a chaotic day…such beauty!

¡Ay ay ay! Where have I been? I leave you for a couple of days to get ready for Laaaaaaaaj Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgentina and you decide to go sight seeing!!!
Well, I’m glad that you have a beautiful view. I’m praying for you girl, can’t seem to stop thinking ’bout you and wondering how your reception went. From Maxi’s wall, it looks like you caused a traffic jam in Colón with all the people who were headed out to see you
